Duration: 4 hours

Overview of the tour in Arusha

After welcoming my guests, I'll give a brief introduction to the history of Mto wa Mbu (Mosquito River) and its people. We’ll then begin our cycling journey, exploring the origins of the Rift Valley and its natural vegetation. We'll ride to the shores of Lake Manyara, where you'll witness its beauty and spot diverse bird species.

Next, we'll visit local farms to see how natural methods are used, especially for rice cultivation. We'll also explore the Maasai village (Maasai Boma) and experience its traditions, rituals, and way of life. Afterward, we’ll return to the village to visit the market and observe the local trade.

To end the day, we'll relax under the shade of trees, enjoying fresh air and a delicious Swahili meal prepared in traditional clay pots. This unforgettable journey will then come to a close.

This activity includes:

  • Mto Wa Mbu Culture Program Office
  • Bicycle
  • Guide allowance
  • Swahili food
  • Banana beers (natural beer)
  • Mineral water
  • Maasai boma fees
