Overview
Hello! I'm Joan, an official Arequipa guide, passionate about the history, culture, and secrets of my city. On this tour, we'll walk through its ashlar streets, enjoy stunning views of volcanoes, and discover why Arequipa is a World Heritage Site.
What's included:
Plaza de Armas: The heart of Arequipa, surrounded by colonial arches and the majestic Cathedral. Cloisters of the Company: A jewel of Andean baroque with its famous carved façade. La Canasta Bakery, where you can appreciate our typical breads, as well as the history of the residence of the famous former president of Peru, Don Eduardo López del Romaña y Alvizuri. The colonial house "Tristán del Pozo" and we will take a look inside this beautiful mansion.
The Mario Vargas Llosa Public Library, where we will see the coat of arms of Arequipa and a large work of art made of ashlar.
Tambo del Solar, The first hotels in the city. Bolognesi Bridge Viewpoint Where we will see the volcanoes and the city.
City Viewpoint: Higher and more panoramic views of the city and the Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu volcanoes. Stories and legends: From local rebellions to anecdotes about ashlar architecture.
