Overview

On this tour, we’ll explore some of the city’s most iconic sites, starting with the iconic Arco de Santa Catalina, one of the most photographed landmarks and one of the most recognizable sights in the volcanic landscape. We’ll continue on to San José Cathedral and La Merced Church, whose walls, facades, and ruins offer a glimpse into the colonial past and the religious significance of that era.

Along the way, we’ll discover former convent complexes that have been transformed over time, where gardens, museums, and ruins coexist and tell the story of different periods in history. We’ll also visit community spaces, such as the old public washhouses, which offer an up-close look at daily life in centuries past.

The tour is led by local guides who share not only historical facts but also stories, traditions, and recommendations for further exploring the city. At the end, you’ll have the chance to discover more about the local cuisine and the unique atmosphere that makes Antigua such a special place.

The itinerary may vary depending on the day of the week and the availability of the sites.
