We begin in the elegant Jewish Quarter, where quiet streets reveal how the Nazi occupation reshaped daily life. Your guide will uncover the machinery of oppression: propaganda, razzias, and the brave resistance that refused to stay silent.
Through vivid storytelling, you’ll follow Anne Frank’s early years in Amsterdam, her love of writing, and the dreams she poured into her diary. You’ll gain a deeper sense of what life in hiding meant: the fear, the silence, and the fragile hope that continues to inspire the world.
Along the way, we visit memorials and historic sites that honor those whose lives were forever changed by the Holocaust, creating a moving journey through one of Amsterdam’s darkest chapters.

Our Guides
On arrival
Your guide will meet you in front of the Hollandsche Schouwburg Theater (Holocaust Memorial) in the Jewish Cultural Quarter, 15 minutes before the tour starts, holding a yellow umbrella so you can easily recognize them. The address of the meeting point is Plantage Middenlaan 24.
Things to note
WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE RUNNING LATE:
5-10 minutes late: The guides should still be at the meeting point, gathering their guests and introducing themselves and the tour.

COME PREPARED FOR THE WEATHER
We will be walking about 3km (2 Mi), and there are no planned bathroom breaks, so don't forget to wear comfortable shoes, bring some water, and come prepared for the ever-changing Dutch weather: bring an umbrella or raincoat if necessary.
