Overview
Welcome to Caesaraugusta. With this tour we will take a huge leap back in time, and we will immerse ourselves in the Roman era of this beautiful city. We will learn history, art, how was the city planning, how they lived.... We will also give you useful tips for your stay in the city, as well as what and where to eat or what to visit in your free time.
The tour starts at the Plaza de José Sinués y Urbiola, next to the Teatro Principal where we will give a historical context of the city.
And from theater to theater, we will go to the Roman Theater of Caesar Augusta, a theater that had a capacity of about 6000 people!
From there we will go to what was the urban center, and we will talk about the Roman Forum. Then we will move to the Plaza de San Bruno and walking along the river bank we will reach the Puente de Piedra, which is the oldest bridge on the Ebro River. Did you know that this river is the largest and longest in Spain?
We will continue to the Plaza del Pilar, one of the most emblematic places in Zaragoza. Finally we will arrive at the Roman Walls and the final touch will be the sculpture of Caesar Augustus.
