Overview of the tour in Zagreb
Our meeting point is in Lanterna na Dolcu Caffe bar for a quick introduction and a complimentary coffee. Your local guide will provide an overview of the tour and share interesting facts about Zagreb.
First, we'll visit the Dolac Market, an open-air market known for its fresh produce and local products. From there we descend to Ban Jelačić Square, the heart of Zagreb, to learn about the square's history and significance.
We will stroll up the Tkalciceva Street, lined with charming cafes and boutiques. As we reach Stone Gate, a historic structure with religious significance you will hear legends and stories associated with this iconic landmark.
Going forward we will reach St. Mark's Church, a historic landmark with its colorful tiled roof. Learn about the church's architecture, Croatian Parliament and Government buildings and their role in Zagreb's cultural heritage. As we get closer to the end of the tour, we'll reach Lotrščak Tower for panoramic views of the city and visit the nearby Zagreb Funicular, one of the shortest funiculars in the world, and hear stories about its history.
