The Monument of the Armenian Alphabet was built in 2005 in honor of the 1600th anniversary of the creation the national Armenian alphabet by Mesrop Mashtots. Located in an open area, on the road to Mount Aragats. There you will have a great opportunity to take a walk in the fresh air and take a memorable photos near the first letter of your name.

The next point is the medieval Lori Fortress. From the 10th century long protecting nearby villages and was the outpost of this region, after which it was destroyed in the 13th century by Tatar-Mongol troops. Inside there are interesting ruins of an ancient protective structure, which you will have the opportunity to see.

Odzun Monastery is located on a high slope of the same name village, near the administrative center of this region, the city Alaverdi. Built in the 6th century AD and is one of the most ancient Monasteries in Armenia. In 2014 was made restoration of the temple, after which the Monastery became one of the most visited places by tourists. Also in the Odzun village, which is one of the largest in the Republic, you will have a great opportunity to take a look at the village life.
