Our tour will begin at the majestic Cathedral and finish at the Cava of Viriato, a mysterious man-made wall. In between those amazing monuments, we’ll also discover the details of the beautiful Rossio square and experience the Medieval feel of Rua Direita, and more!
We’ll learn everything about Viseu’s existence as a 2500-year-old city, including its role in the birth of Portugal and its modern pop culture. All of this, of course, while exploring your own specific interests!
As a guide who specializes in small tours, I’ll be sure to maintain a personal and fun environment. This tour is up to 8 participants maximum, so everyone's questions and needs can be covered. It includes one coffee break.

On arrival
I'll be waiting by the Pillory in front of Viseu's Cathedral (or Sé). Viseu's Cathedral is right in the historical center. Once you see a young brunette woman - that's me! But don’t worry, I’ll be sure to arrive in advance and take the initiative to greet people. In case of doubt, message me through the Free Tour Chat!
Things to note
ITINERARY
This is a Linear tour. We'll start in Sé, the main Cathedral, and end at the Cava de Viriato. The tour takes place within a 1.5km radius on mostly even pavement. The tour takes place mostly outdoors. It’s accessible to people with a low level of fitness, but not to people with mobility impairment.

PARTICIPATION
Free Tour automatically confirms your booking, so you can be assured of the tour’s availability. Nonetheless, please notice that I might miss notifications about bookings that are only made a few hours in advance, so always try to book your tour until 7 pm the day before the day of the tour you choose.
In case you need help with the tour or anything related to Viseu, I’m available every day from 11 am to 7 pm (UTC+00:00).
On the evening of the day before the tour, I’ll contact participants through the Free Tour Chat, so kindly check your messages just so I can rely on your presence.
I’m willing to give a 20-minute tolerance after the start hour. After that, I’ll mark the missing participants as No Show Ups. Please always inform me beforehand through the Free Tour Chat if you might be arriving late so we can arrange a solution.
