Quick Tour in the Historical Center with a Professional Guide
Overview
We’ll discover every detail of the historical center - even the ones that go unnoticed to locals, and you'd never notice otherwise. I’ll show you the main monuments and introduce you to Viseu’s most famous characters, including Portugal's very first Saint and one of the famous Fado singers of all time.
We’ll even venture into Viseu’s History Museum; if the tour happens to take place on a day when the Museum is closed, we’ll explore the Parque Aquilino Ribeiro instead.
This tour provides an easy walk with plenty to see and photograph! It’s limited to a maximum of 10 participants, so everyone's questions and needs can be covered. You’ll learn everything about Viseu’s historical past and modern pop culture.

MEETING POINT
I'll be waiting by the Pillory in front of Viseu's Cathedral (or Sé). Viseu's Cathedral is right in the historical center. Once you see a young brunette woman - that's me! But don’t worry, I’ll be sure to arrive in advance and take the initiative to greet people. In case of doubt, message me through the Free Tours Chat!
Things to note
ITINERARY
This is a Circular tour. We'll start and end at Sé, the main Cathedral. The tour takes place within less than a 1km radius on mostly even pavement. The tour takes place mostly outdoors. It’s accessible to people with a low level of fitness, people with mobility impairment, and anyone who needs to use a baby stroller.

PARTICIPATION
Free Tour automatically confirms your booking, so you can be assured of the tour’s availability. Nonetheless, please notice that I might miss notifications about bookings that are only made a few hours in advance, so always try to book your tour until 7 pm the day before the day of the tour you choose.
In case you need help with the tour or anything related to Viseu, I’m available every day from 11 am to 7 pm (UTC+00:00).
On the evening of the day before the tour, I’ll contact participants through the Free Tour Chat, so kindly check your messages just so I can rely on your presence.
I’m willing to give a 20-minute tolerance after the start hour. After that, I’ll mark the missing participants as No Show Ups. Please always inform me beforehand through the Free Tour Chat if you might be arriving late so we can arrange a solution.
