Overview
Guided by Ngen-Ko, the spirit of the lake, we will explore Villarrica among volcanoes, rivers and living legends. The tour begins at the Pucará waterfront, in front of Villarrica beach, with a walk along the lake to learn about its history and natural environment. We will visit the Villarrica letters, a local symbol and ideal viewpoint, the pier with its nautical history, and the Liquen Theater, a modern cultural reference.
We will continue to the cathedral and the main square, where we will discover native species and urban development. In the historical site we will learn about the colonial origins and the Mapuche resistance, and then cross the Rodrigo de Bastidas bridge towards the Borde Río park and the urban wetland, ending among birds and nature.
