Secret and Mysterious Venice: the Jewish Ghetto and Cannaregio
Overview of the tour in Venice
We take you to the unknown part of Venice, where tourists do not go and where the mystery, beauty, and fascination that makes this city fall in love is enclosed.
We tour the fascinating neighborhood of Cannaregio and the Fondamenta de la Misericordia with its hundreds of authentic restaurants and bars by the water. We will visit the Church of the Jesuits, the Campo Dei Mori, the Palace of the Camel with its legend, and the Church of Santa Maria del Orto.
Cannaregio is the most authentic neighborhood in the city and where the Venetians still live. We show you the life of the last Venetians who resisted in their beloved city doing fascinating things until they reached the Jewish Ghetto: the Jewish Quarter where the word ghetto was invented and the oldest ghetto in the world.
We will see the kosher restaurants, the Jewish bookstores, and the kosher stores, with the possibility of visiting its five synagogues, the Hebrew Museum, and the Banco Rosso, the oldest in the world.
In the end, you can relax with an aperitif, a wine or a meal in the best place in Venice to do it: the Fondamenta da Misericordia. We promise that this tour will be your most beautiful memory of Venice.
