Overview
Discover with me the soul of the Ville Rose!
I propose a walk through its essential monuments, without forgetting those corners that, in a more invisible way, build the true identity of Toulouse.
In Capitole you will learn about the history of the Palladia Toulouse: can you imagine how in medieval times the inhabitants filled the squares in popular assemblies as in Ancient Rome?
We will follow in the footsteps of the Way of St. James to the majestic Basilica of Saint-Sernin, exploring the language of the troubadours: Occitan and the traces of the Spanish exile.
At the Jacobins Convent we will delve into the history of the Cathars and the fate of a region marked by religious wars, punished for its independent spirit and ahead of its time.
And, of course, we will talk about the Renaissance... do you know what is the pastel color that everyone knows in the city?
During the tour we will also discover the street art that fills Toulouse and I will share recommendations for restaurants, cafes and concerts.
If you like art and you want to know the emblematic Toulouse, but also its secrets, in a relaxed and professional atmosphere... this is your tour!
