Once we leave the meeting point, we will discover the close relationship between the convents and the tradition of marzipan in Toledo. We will visit the Convent of the Comendadoras de Santiago, where we will see the cloister of the mona and its emblematic marzipan stall. It is a place where time seems to have stopped, and traditions are kept alive, especially in confectionery. Did you know that each marzipan here is molded by hand? Each one has a special dedication, like a small edible work of art.
The tour continues at the Convent of Santo Domingo el Real, where we admire the chapel and choir, which houses an impressive 14th century organ, and where we will learn about the history of the mummified body of the Infante Sancho de Castilla, "Sanchito", one of the convent's most unique curiosities.
