Welcome to the Tirana Free Walking Tour! My name is Gabriel, and I am happy to show you my city. Born in Germany and raised in Tirana, I speak fluent German and share with you my passion for architecture and the history of Tirana.
The tour starts at Mother Teresa Square and takes us along the magnificent Bulevardi Dëshmorët e Kombit. We will see the Congress Palace, the official residence of the President, the Council of Ministers building, and the Prime Minister's office. A highlight is the Pyramid of Tirana, a symbol of change.
We will continue to the National Art Gallery and through Rinia Park to the impressive Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ. We then reach Skanderbeg Square, the heart of the city, with the Skanderbeg statue, the National Museum, the Opera House, and the Clock Tower.
Finally, we discover the Tirana Castle, a remnant from the 13th century that reflects Tirana's ancient history.
