Overview

Discover the heart of The Hague on a fascinating walking tour through more than 700 years of Dutch history. From the Hofvijver and medieval Binnenhof to royal palaces, historic prisons, elegant avenues and world-famous art, uncover the stories behind the city's most iconic places.

Along the way, we'll explore Buitenhof & Hofvijver, City Hall, De Passage, Grote Kerk, Plaats, the Gevangenpoort, Noordeinde Palace and its gardens, Lange Voorhout, Escher in Het Paleis and the Mauritshuis.

Rather than simply listing dates and monuments, this tour brings The Hague to life through royal intrigues, political drama, remarkable characters, hidden details, surprising facts and stories that shaped the Netherlands.

A relaxed walk through the city's historic centre, perfect for those who want to understand not only what The Hague looks like, but why it became the political and royal heart of the Netherlands.
