Overview
The Roman Empire equipped the area as a factory to produce salted tuna, Garúm (a delicious sauce), and to obtain makeup. From there, a unique city was born. The chosen site is no longer a mystery: sea inlet, stone quarries, water in the aqueduct, and tuna industry in traps, how do they work?
The underground logic of water: aqueducts, cisterns-deposits, lead pipes, Silenos fountains, what are they? Sanitation network to the port. Thermal baths with hot, warm, and cold pools. Sport in the Pilastra of the Doriphorus.
The Basilica, the Voting Hall, the Archive-Library, the Hall of the Togates, and the Curia Headquarters. In front of the Tabernae: tapas, wines. We will be in the parking lot of the archaeological site of Baelo Claudia, with a black T-shirt and a logo of the agency Los 3 Dromedarios in orange.
Things to note
It is advisable to bring a cap or a straw hat and sunscreen if we do the route in summer.
Right next to it is the spectacular beach and dune (the largest in Peninsular Spain), so if the day is good, you will want to take a bath, so swimsuit and towel will not be left over.
