Overview
Your licensed official tour guide will meet you at Bab Kasbah and take you on a wonderful off-the-beaten-track walking tour. This experience allows visitors to learn about the culture and history, meet the locals, and enjoy a memorable time in Tangier.
You will start with a tour of the Kasbah, a fortress dating back to the 14th century, and walk through its historical streets that hold many stories. From Bab Bhar, you will enjoy a stunning view over the Strait of Gibraltar and learn about the various historical monuments, such as the Sultan's Palace, the old court and prison, and the Kasbah Mosque, all dating back to the 17th century.
Next, we will walk downhill toward the Medina (Old City) and explore its narrow alleys. You will visit the food market, pass by shops and workshops of various traditional crafts, and stop at Petit Socco, Grand Socco, and the Mendoubia Gardens.
