Experience Tallinn in a way most visitors never do. This friendly, story-driven walking tour goes beyond dates and textbook history to share real stories from locals who lived through the communist era. Some are surprising, others so strange they’ll make you laugh, but all bring the past vividly to life.
Join us for a 2-hour guided walk in English through the Old Town and down to the vibrant harbor area. Along the way, you’ll discover what life was really like in Soviet-era Tallinn through personal stories, legends, and everyday experiences you won’t find in guidebooks.

On arrival
You’ll find our guide waiting for your group in front of the Tallinn Tourist Information Centre at Niguliste 2.
Please note: The meeting point is Niguliste 2, not in front of Niguliste Church. The church is located across the street from our meeting point.
Our guides will be wearing name badges, so they’ll be easy to spot.

How can the tour be free?
Our concept is simple — there is no set price. Instead, you tip your guide at the end of the tour whatever amount feels right to you. Typically, guests give between $10 to €50, depending on their satisfaction and budget.
Most guides accept cash or card payments, or you can do it via our app.
Cancellation policy
You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
