Overview

Discover Ortigia: A Walking Tour Through History, Myths, and Wonders

Step into the past as we explore the Temple of Apollo, one of Magna Graecia’s oldest Doric sanctuaries. Learn about its fascinating history and its role over the centuries.

Next, we’ll visit the Fountain of Diana, where myth and art intertwine, revealing the legends of the goddess of the hunt. In Piazza Duomo, the heart of Ortigia, admire the majestic Cathedral, built over an ancient Greek temple.

We'll then stop at the Church of Santa Lucia alla Badia, home to Caravaggio’s masterpiece, The Burial of Saint Lucy, and uncover the secrets behind this extraordinary painting. No visit to Ortigia is complete without the Fountain of Arethusa, a natural wonder rich in Greek mythology, surrounded by lush papyrus plants.

Finally, we’ll explore the Jewish Quarter, a place of ancient streets and deep cultural heritage. After two unforgettable hours, you'll leave with stories and memories of Ortigia’s timeless charm.
