Overview
We will meet next to the Monastery of San Juan de Duero, where the poet Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer will be waiting for us, as well as our guide.
In this visit, we will embark fully into a scenario of legends, romanticism, and history, walking through one of the most beautiful places in the city: the walk along the banks of the Duero River.
With our guide, we will have the opportunity to visit two of the most beautiful and essential monuments of the city. We will start explaining the history of the Monastery of San Juan de Duero, with a unique cloister in the whole Peninsula and we will finish at the Hermitage of San Saturio hanging on the rock, passing before the remains of the Monastery of San Polo.
We will have the opportunity to walk the walk of lovers who saw the birth of the verses of Antonio Machado and Gerardo Diego, as well as the legends of Becquer.
If you are passionate about poems and nature, and you have also come to learn about the history and origins of the city, this visit is perfect for you. Are you going to miss it?
