Skopje Free Tour with Niki: History, Hidden Gems & Local Life
Overview
My name is Niki, and I’d love to show you the city I proudly call home. This Skopje free walking tour is more than a walk between landmarks—it’s an opportunity to discover the stories, culture, and everyday life that make this city unique.
Skopje is a place where different worlds meet. Ottoman heritage stands beside modern architecture, old traditions blend with new ideas, and every corner has a story waiting to be told. Together, we’ll explore the historic Old Bazaar, cross the iconic Stone Bridge, visit important landmarks, and discover hidden spots that many visitors overlook.
Along the way, I’ll share stories about Skopje’s fascinating past, local traditions, food culture, and what life here is really like today. I want this experience to feel like exploring the city with a local friend, not listening to a lecture.
By the end of our walk, I hope you won’t just remember what you saw, but that you’ll leave feeling connected to the city, its history, and the people who make it special.
This activity includes:
- Memorial House of Mother Teresa
- Skopje Fortress
- Old Bazaar
- Square „Macedonia“
- Stone Bridge
On arrival
Please note: the meeting point is at the Mother Teresa birth plaque near Macedonia Square, in front of La Terrazza Restaurant. It is not the same location as the Mother Teresa Memorial House. I’ll be easy to recognize with my blue official tour guide badge.
