Overview

Our journey will begin early in the morning with a departure from Baku to Sheki. In Sheki, we’ll first stop at a cozy café where you can try piti, a traditional Sheki dish, and enjoy the fragrant local baklava. After that, we will set off on an exciting walk through the city to get to know it up close:

1. Sheki Khan’s Palace, an 18th-century architectural masterpiece with exquisite stained glass and paintings that captivate the imagination.

2. Round Temple.
During the era of the legendary Albanian Kingdom, the building served as a church, later becoming the khan's private mosque.

3. Shebeke Workshop.
Let’s explore this ancient craft: I will take you to a workshop where you can watch the process of creating shebeke.

4. Khan’s Mosque, the burial place of the khans and their relatives, with tombstones adorned with intricate carvings.

5. Caravanserai
Visit an ancient 18th-century caravanserai, a historic stopover for merchants and travelers on the Great Silk Road.

6. Sheki Khan’s House. This small 18th-century palace was the winter residence of the Sheki khans.

7. Omar Efendi Mosque.
