Overview
Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987 and an Asset of Outstanding Universal Value in 2010, the Cathedral of Seville was built after the demolition of the old Aljama Mosque of Seville. For more than 150 years, the Christians used the Muslim temple as a center of worship, and it was in 1401 that the cathedral chapter decided to build a new temple. The works lasted until the 15th century, precisely until 1506.
During our guided tour, our official guide will accompany you in discovering all the secrets and history of this magnificent architectural complex. We will discover some of the secrets that are kept inside, such as the remains of Christopher Columbus or the largest altarpiece in the Christian world.
After the visit, inside the Cathedral, we will have the opportunity to walk through the beautiful Patio de los Naranjos. Also, if you wish, you can climb to the top of the Giralda to enjoy beautiful views of the city of Seville and take some excellent pictures to remember.
