Overview
Discover Seville on a journey through its history, its cultures, and the people who built the city.
We’ll start at Plaza de España, a symbol of 20th-century Seville, to learn about the history of the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition and the city’s transformations.
We’ll then walk past the Real Fábrica de Tabacos—now the University of Seville—and reflect on the history of the famous cigarette makers and their role in Sevillian society. We’ll continue on to the Torre del Oro, the Casa de la Moneda, and Plaza del Cabildo, discovering Islamic Seville, trade with the Americas, and some of the lesser-known aspects of the city’s colonial past.
We’ll then enter the historic heart of the city via the Cathedral, the Giralda, and the Puerta del Perdón, to understand how Seville transitioned from an Islamic city to a Christian one and how different cultures have left their mark.
We’ll conclude at Plaza del Triunfo, in front of the Cathedral, the Real Alcázar, and the Archivo de Indias.
A roughly two-hour tour to discover Seville beyond the postcard images: a city shaped by cultures, transformations, conflicts, trade, and people.
