Overview

Walk through the Macarena neighborhood, a place where history, art and popular life are intertwined. We start at the Alameda de Hércules, the oldest landscaped promenade in Europe, and the Casa de las Sirenas, a romantic mansion now converted into a cultural center. We continue to the Mudejar parish of Omnium Sanctorum and the bustling market of Feria Street, next to the Thursday market, with medieval origins. A few steps away, the Palacio de los Marqueses de la Algaba immerses us in Mudejar art, before admiring the spectacular baroque church of San Luis de los Franceses.

We continue with the Gothic parish of Santa Marina and the unique Casa Palacio del Pumarejo, which combines noble past and present neighborhood. The route continues to the Parliament of Andalusia, former Hospital de las Cinco Llagas, a monumental example of the Renaissance. Finally, the wall and the Puerta de la Macarena lead us to the Basilica, where the Esperanza Macarena, symbol of Seville, awaits the visitor between faith and tradition.
