Guided Tour of the Royal Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso
Overview
During the tour, we’ll explore the main rooms on the main floor, such as the Grand Staircase, the Portrait Gallery, and the Royal Bedroom. We’ll also visit the extraordinary Tapestry Museum, which houses one of the world’s most important collections.
We’ll discover salons decorated with frescoes, porcelain, lacquerware, and mirrors, as well as stories about Isabella Farnese, music at court, and the famous Farinelli.
On the ground floor, we’ll visit the former sculpture gallery before exiting next to the Royal Collegiate Church and exploring its famous gardens and monumental fountains.

Things to note
- Please be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour starts. The guide will not be able to wait out of respect for the group, since we must access the monument punctually.
- The Paseando por Europa guides carry blue-green flags.
- Show your reservation (printed or on your cell phone) to the Walking Europe guide at the meeting point.
- The use of radio guides is mandatory in both buildings (LiveVoice app).
- Important information: The Tapestry Museum is temporarily closed for works. In its place we will get to know some of the collection pieces of Philip V and Isabella of Farnese, and discover the interior of the Royal Golegiata, where the monarchs rest. Please note that the route of the visit may be modified.
