Let’s take a chill walk through Sarajevo and experience the city! This is a chill walking tour through the heart of Sarajevo, where we’ll explore the city, discover interesting places, hear stories from its past, and get a feel for what Sarajevo is really like today.
We’ll walk through the historic streets of Baščaršija, visit some of Sarajevo’s most important landmarks, and learn about the different cultures and empires that shaped the city,from the Ottoman period and Austro-Hungarian rule to Yugoslavia, the Siege of Sarajevo, and modern-day Sarajevo.
But this tour isn’t only about history and monuments. Along the way, I’ll share local stories, interesting facts, personal recommendations, and tips on where to eat, drink coffee, go out, and what to see during your stay.
There’s no need to rush or follow a strict schedule. We’ll take our time, walk, talk, take photos, ask questions, and enjoy Sarajevo together.

On arrival
We’ll meet in front of Sarajevo City Center (SCC). From there, we’ll walk together towards the old town and Baščaršija, enjoying the city along the way. I’ll be waiting at the meeting point with a sign saying “Sarajevo Free Walking Tour”. Please arrive 5–10 minutes before the tour starts.
Things to note
We don't have to meet strictly there, but I think it's a nice place to meet because we can walk and make our way through the main parts of the city from there.
