Overview
This trail starts at the Pastry Shop 'Manjar dos Sabores', where we will follow an old cobbled pathway in one of the first northern side Island settlements. Meet 'Baía da Areia,' a black sand bathing area, and know the story of 'Casa do Fio,' which played a key role in transatlantic History. Natural pools, Endemic Species, Local restaurants, and 'Poços de Maré' are also on the way. Learn about the Parish Church of 'Senhora da Ajuda,' one of the main Island Temple Churches (18th century), and around it the Neo-classic 18th/19th-century architectural ensemble.
