What is clear is that this alcoholic beverage has been traditionally used to break curses and ward off evil spirits.
With this unique experience, you will experience the magic and Galician culture. We will meet at the San Martiño square to go to the place where the ceremony will start.
We will gather around a table with a large clay pot in the center. At that moment, the help of a druid or a Galician meiga will come into action, who will explain how to make the queimada.
Water, earth, and fire, the three most important elements of nature, will be present in the elaboration of this drink. The meiga will recite the incantation, traditionally known as "conxuro da queimada," with which you will call for good luck just before tasting the drink.
After the ritual, we will go on to a tasting of the freshly prepared queimada drink.
