Overview

Join our free tour of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, starting at the central Plaza del Cabildo. We'll explore iconic landmarks like the old Town Hall, Las Covachas (now the Manzanilla Museum), and the Orleans-Borbón Palace, home to the current city hall. Nearby, we’ll admire the exterior of the Ducal Palace of Medina Sidonia, a declared Historic-Artistic Monument.

We'll stop at the Church of Nuestra Señora de la O, the oldest in town, founded in 1360 by Isabel de la Cerda. Then, we’ll visit the Monument to the First Circumnavigation, highlighting Elcano’s historic voyage, which began and ended in Sanlúcar.

We’ll finish after 1.5 hours of walking through charming cobbled streets lined with bodegas, arriving at the Castle of Santiago, where we’ll admire its exterior and learn about its link to Queen Isabella I.
