Sanlúcar de Barrameda: Puerta of América Free Tour
Overview
We'll stop at the Church of Nuestra Señora de la O, the oldest in town, founded in 1360 by Isabel de la Cerda. Then, we’ll visit the Monument to the First Circumnavigation, highlighting Elcano’s historic voyage, which began and ended in Sanlúcar.
We’ll finish after 1.5 hours of walking through charming cobbled streets lined with bodegas, arriving at the Castle of Santiago, where we’ll admire its exterior and learn about its link to Queen Isabella I.

The meeting point is in front of the fountain in the center of Plaza del Cabildo, specifically in front of the Tony Selección Ice Cream Parlor, which is next to the Balbino bar.
Things to note
The tour includes short uphill and downhill stretches. It is recommended to bring water, a hat, and sunscreen, especially on summer days.
