Overview
Join us for an unforgettable walking tour in Samokov, a charming town nestled in the picturesque Samokov Valley, surrounded by the majestic Rila, Vitosha, and Sredna Gora mountain ranges, just 55 kilometers from Sofia. Known for its excellent winter sports conditions, Samokov, along with the nearby Borovets resort, has become a major tourist destination. Once a hub of handicrafts and art, Samokov is rich in history.
On our tour, you'll explore key attractions such as the Big Drinking Fountain, the Town History Museum, the Art Gallery, Sarafska House, the Bairakli Mosque, the Community Center Monument 'Otets Paisiy,' the Nunnery, and the multifunctional sports hall 'Arena-Samokov,' along with the scenic tourist park featuring a lake and swans.
We’ll then drive just 10 kilometers to Borovets resort to visit the stunning Hunting Palace, Tsarska Bistritsa. From late June to late September, the chairlift and gondola operate for walking tours, allowing us to ascend to Yastrebets Peak. Prepare to be amazed by breathtaking views of Musala Peak, the highest in the Balkan Peninsula! Enjoy some time for pictures at the top before we descend back to the base station
