Travel to Samarkand Tour
Overview
On this walking tour, we will explore the heart of the Timurid Empire, following the footsteps of Amir Timur and uncovering the stories behind some of the most breathtaking monuments in Central Asia.
We begin at the iconic Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum, the final resting place of Tamerlane, where the history of a great conqueror comes to life. From there, we move to the magnificent Registan Square, the jewel of Samarkand and a symbol of the Silk Road.
We will continue to the impressive Bibi-Khanym Mosque, once one of the largest mosques in the Islamic world, full of legends and ambition. Then, we visit the peaceful Hazrat Khizr Mosque, offering beautiful views over the ancient city.
Finally, we end at the stunning Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis, a unique avenue of mausoleums covered in brilliant blue tiles — a place that truly captures the soul of Samarkand.
This tour is not just about monuments, but about stories, culture, and the spirit of the Silk Road.
