Overview
From Rinne, the main shopping mall in Rovaniemi, we begin our journey towards Artikum, the science centre and museum of the city.
Our walk continues to what's known as "the best place to see the Northern Lights inside the city." Then, we cross to the other side to visit "the best fireplace for a barbecue," a favorite spot among locals.
We make a stop here for 10 minutes.
Then, we move along the coast of Kemijoki River, the city's lifeline, until we arrive at the middle point between the two main bridges that connect the two sides of the city.
Carrying on, we continue our tour to enjoy stunning views of Rovaniemi’s main church and make a stop at Angry Birds Park, a fun attraction for all ages.
After that, we take a turn at the roundabout of Hostel Café Koti to pass through its busiest pedestrian avenue, Koskikatu. Along the way, you'll get to know the most popular bars, restaurants and major hotels of the city center.
