In this experience, we will explore Lapa together, a vibrant and colorful neighborhood perfect for capturing unique moments in an urban and cultural setting.
We’ll visit the Selarón Steps, an explosion of color created by artist Jorge Selarón, an ideal spot for vibrant photos. I’ll share stories and fun facts about these iconic sites at each stop, ensuring a unique and enriching experience.
Next, we’ll go to the famous Lapa Aqueduct, with its impressive colonial architecture, where we’ll take portraits capturing this iconic landmark's energy. We might even see the Santa Teresa tram passing by! From there, we’ll admire the Metropolitan Cathedral and learn the history behind its modern and symbolic structure.
After that, we'll visit the facade of the Municipal Theatre, a majestic jewel of early 20th-century glamour.
We will finish our tour in the modern Museum of Tomorrow, which is a must for our tour through Rio Downtown!

We will meet at Cecília Meireles Hall, a renowned concert venue in Lapa, known for its elegant architecture and cultural significance. Located at Largo da Lapa, 47, it is right next to the iconic Lapa Arches. Look for me at the main entrance. I’ll be waiting for you!
Things to note
I recommend wearing light-colored clothing to stand out beautifully against Lapa’s vibrant and colorful backgrounds. Neutral tones, pastels, or white work best to create a stunning contrast in your photos. Comfortable shoes and cold water are also advised for walking during the tour!
