World Heritage Tour with Sample of Local Beer
Overview of the tour in Regensburg
The journey begins where the history of the city begins. In Roman times, at the Porta Praetoria, the gate of the former Roman legionary camp. Right next to it, there is the yard of the bishop. And the Bischofshof-Weizen is also the first traditional beer that we try. In the following stations we learn how Regensburg became the Bavarian capital and why Charlemagne held court here for two years. We learn how Regensburg managed to become a free imperial city and one of the trading metropolises of the Middle Ages. I'll also tell you how we've managed to be devil-free since 1146. Then we tast a Spital-beer! We learn about imperial affairs and world famous bastards. We see the heydays of the Middle Ages and the dark stories of economic decline - bitter like the Kneitinger Pils, which I am presenting to you here. Have you always wanted to know, why we "put things off" or why decisions are made "at the green table"? You will find out at our last stop
I'm looking forward to meeting you :D
