Overview
We'll cover the history of the city from the 6th Century, with special emphasis on the Middle Ages, where tales abound, and many stories can be told in different ways. We'll also go through numerous historic characters, from Emperor Charles IV to the foundational religious reformer Jan Hus, to the celebrated writer Franz Kafka. So, please come along; there's a lot to tell.

On arrival
You will be contacted beforehand by our guide via WhatsApp, email, or Internal Freetour message. At the meeting point, look for the guides carrying a plaited willow whip decorated with ribbons slightly resembling a whip: this is called a Pomlazka in Czech.
The standard meeting point is located next to the Powder Tower in the New Town, close to the Municipal House or Obecni Dum in Czech. The closest Metro Station is Namesti Republiky Metro Station (Line B - Yellow), but we can pick you up wherever is more convenient for you. The length of the tour can also be adjusted
You can access the meeting point via public transportation. As mentioned, the closest metro station is Namesti Republiky Metro Station (Line B - Yellow) or the tram stop with the same name.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the tour begins (at 9:50) as the tour starts promptly at 10:00 AM.
Things to note
This is a Private Walking tour referring to a leisurely walk around the city, without entering paid attractions. If you would like to visit a specific place or participate in a particular activity, please contact us after you have made your reservation, and we will adjust the tour to suit your convenience.
We recommend checking the weather before the tour and dressing accordingly based on the forecast. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a small bottle of water. You must visit the bathroom before meeting us at the meeting point, as it can be challenging to find a bathroom in the centre of Prague.
