Overview
Discover Prague Castle from a different perspective on a two-hour outdoor tour through its gardens, courtyards and historic grounds.
We’ll start by the Royal Summer Palace and walk through the Royal Garden before entering the main Castle complex. We’ll explore its courtyards and see landmarks such as St. Vitus Cathedral and St. George’s Basilica from the outside, before continuing through the Southern Gardens with beautiful views over Prague.
Rather than simply moving from one monument to another, I’ll help you understand how Prague Castle developed over the centuries and connect its architecture with the rulers and events that shaped it.
I love Prague’s stories and legends, but I also believe it’s worth knowing where history ends and legend begins. Expect both – and the context behind them.
The tour focuses entirely on the outdoor areas of Prague Castle and does not include ticketed interiors, making it a great way to understand the Castle without spending hours inside individual buildings.

We’ll meet opposite the Královský letohrádek tram stop, by the entrance to the Royal Garden. The easiest way to get there is by tram 22 or 23.
Look for your guide with a red umbrella :)
Things to note
Comfortable shoes are recommended, as we’ll be exploring the Castle grounds and gardens at a relaxed pace, with plenty of stops along the way. And don’t forget to bring some water, especially on warm days.
