Overview
From Nazi Occupation to Communism to the Revolution That Changed Everything
Walk the streets of Prague's New Town where 20th-century history actually happened. This isn't a textbook retelling, it's the stories passed down by Prague residents about what life was really like under occupation and behind the Iron Curtain.
You'll learn about the Nazi occupation and the daring Heydrich Assassination Plot, standing at the very crypt where the paratroopers made their last stand, bullet holes still visible in the walls. We'll walk through Communist Czechoslovakia and the hope and heartbreak of the Prague Spring, before arriving at the moment it all changed: the Velvet Revolution, where you'll stand in the square where Václav Havel shook his keys and demanded freedom for the Czech people.
Along the way, we'll point out New Town's striking architecture, from the Dancing House to Art Nouveau passageways, plus quirky landmarks like the Kafka Head and the Upside-Down Horse.
This tour is about the rebels and the spies, the resistance and the small, everyday acts of bravery that defined a generation. Come see the places that remain almost unchanged since those times.
