Overview
We’ll start on Avenida dos Aliados, across from City Hall, to see how the heart of the city has changed. We’ll step inside the McDonald’s Imperial to admire the details it still preserves from the old café. Next, we’ll see the Carmo and Carmelite churches, separated by a narrow house; the Clérigos Church and Tower; and the famous Livraria Lello, whose history we’ll learn about from the outside.
We’ll stroll down Rua das Flores, a lively street that tells the story of Porto’s commercial past. At São Bento Station, we’ll admire its tiles and discover the stories they depict. We’ll also visit the Time Out Market and enjoy beautiful views of the city.
We’ll take breaks to observe the details, take photos, and answer your questions. I’ll tell you the story in simple terms and share useful tips for continuing to explore Porto, sampling its cuisine, getting around the city, and making the most of your stay. I look forward to discovering a Porto full of stories with you!

On arrival
When you reach one of the exits of the Los Aliados Metro station, cross the avenue toward the Paseo Central de Adoquines. There you’ll find the only fountain in Los Aliados, surrounded by a few trees, some small tables, and chairs. I’ll be waiting for you there with a BLACK UMBRELLA that has the words “FREE TOUR” printed on the bottom.

How can the tour be free?
Our concept is simple — there is no set price. Instead, you tip your guide at the end of the tour whatever amount feels right to you. Typically, guests give between $10 to €50, depending on their satisfaction and budget.
Most guides accept cash or card payments, or you can do it via our app.
Cancellation policy
You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
