Porto Free Tour by Night
Overview
Our visit will begin in front of the University of Porto, in addition to reviewing the peculiarities of the Igrejas Gemelas, located in front. Nearby we will also visit the Café Piolho, an emblematic place historically related to university life.
Join us at Rua Galerias de Paris, the most lively street of the nightlife of the city, where we will learn about its history and its relevance for the locals.
We will explore together the Mercado do Bolhao and reach the Chapel of the Souls. From here, we will go down the Rua Santa Catarina, where we will visit the Gran Hotel do Porto, the Café Majestic, the Igreja de Santo Ildefonso or the Teatro Nacional São João.
During this visit we will also walk along Rua Chã to be surprised with spectacular views of the Sé of Porto and discover the Roman remains of the Primitive Wall.
We will move on to the Palacio da Bolsa and finish our free tour with incredible views of the Douro River and the city of Vila Nova de Gaia from the Ribeira.

On arrival
Meeting point: Praça de Gomes Teixeira (in front of the University of Porto and the Lions Fountain). Look for a blue-green flag or umbrella with the name Paseando por Europa.
Things to note
- Please arrive 15 minutes in advance so that the tour can start on time.
- Our guides will be identified with a blue-green umbrella or flag and the company logo: Paseando Por Europa.
- Show the guide, at the meeting point, the booking confirmation email, either printed or by cell phone or tablet.
- what is a free tour? Free comes from the concept "free", that is, it is an urban tour with qualified guides in which you are free to set the price you want to the tour once finished, depending on your satisfaction and budget.
- Group bookings of more than 6 adults have to pay €8 per adult. The maximum allowed is 3 children per adult.
- If your group is more than 6 adults and you have made several separate reservations under different names, but all for the same group, you will have to pay €8 per adult. Otherwise, we will not be able to accept you on the tour and the guide may ask you to leave the tour.

How can the tour be free?
Our concept is simple — there is no set price. Instead, you tip your guide at the end of the tour whatever amount feels right to you. Typically, guests give between $10 to $50, depending on their satisfaction and budget.
Most guides accept cash or card payments, or you can do it via our app.
Free Cancellation
You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
