Overview of the tour in Pisa

You will see the city from a different angle – discover the hidden lanes, photograph the city from unusual places, and, of course, climb the world-famous Leaning Tower and visit the beautiful Cathedral of Pisa.

The itinerary is absolutely easy going and the walking will be at a leisurely pace. This will be a unique experience to enjoy an unpretentious university city where you will have the opportunity to learn about the history and the monuments but also about every day life of a small and lively medieval Tuscan town.

You will learn about the history of the city, its palaces, monuments, and characters, as well as the life of a small and ancient Tuscan university town. You'll hear about the Etruscan and Roman Pisa and the centuries of glory of the maritime republic during medieval times. On your way to the Square of Miracles, you'll find traces the Medici and Galileo have left in the city and much more.

At the end of the walking tour, you will arrive at the impressive monumental complex of the Square of Miracles. Here, you will enter the Cathedral and then climb the Leaning Tower with pre-booked access. Your experience will last around three hours.

On arrival

The meeting point is at the fountain outside the Pisa Centrale train station.

Wear comfortable shoes
Children under 8 years of age are not admitted inside the Leaning Tower
The dress code inside the Cathedral is informal, but ladies need to have their shoulders covered
Bags, purses, and backpacks need to be deposited in the locker room before climbing the Leaning Tower
