Free Tour: Montmartre, the Bohemian Heart of Paris
Overview
Montmartre, one of Paris’s most iconic neighborhoods, invites you to lose yourself in its cobblestone streets, its history, and its unmistakable artistic spirit. This corner of the city was a refuge for painters, writers, and dreamers who forever transformed European culture.
Join us on a journey to the heart of Parisian bohemia and discover the place that inspired Picasso, Van Gogh, and Toulouse-Lautrec. We’ll start at the legendary Moulin Rouge, a symbol of the Belle Époque.
Next, we’ll visit the Café des Deux Moulins, famous for the movie *Amélie*. Afterward, we’ll visit the place where Vincent van Gogh lived and learn how Montmartre marked a decisive period in his life.
We’ll continue on to the historic Moulin de la Galette, one of the last windmills still standing in Montmartre.
Near the Maison Rose, we’ll discover the surprising urban vineyard of Clos Montmartre and immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the cabaret Le Lapin Agile.
Our tour will take us to the Place des Peintres, where artists continue to breathe creative life into the neighborhood. We’ll end the tour in front of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, one of the most spectacular panoramic views in Paris.
