Overview
In 1789, Paris was the epicenter of one of the most important events in history: the French Revolution. On this tour, we’ll walk through the streets that changed France and the world forever. We’ll discuss a process that gave rise to modern democracy and turned Paris into an international symbol of rebellion, ideas, and transformation.
Our meeting point will be the Palais-Royal, where the revolutionary unrest began. We’ll explore the Tuileries Palace, a former royal residence and a key setting in the fall of the monarchy. We’ll also visit the area where Robespierre lived—a central figure during the Reign of Terror, when thousands of people were executed.
We’ll near the end of the tour at the Place de la Concorde, where Marie Antoinette—a symbol of the end of an era—was executed.
And to wrap up, we’ll see the National Assembly, representing the new political system that emerged after the Revolution.
