Panama Two Ancient Cities Tour
Overview of the tour in Panama City
We will visit the 2 old towns of Panama City (both were listed as UNESCO Heritage Sites): The Old Panama ruins (the first city founded in the Pacific coastline of America, nowadays is an important Archaeological site), and the colonial & picturesque Old Town to have a walking tour and explore its amazing buildings, churches, and plazas.
In the Old Panama ruins we will visit:
- Archeological museum
- Main cathedral tower
- Convent of conception and its aljibe
- and more
On our way to the Old Town we will visit or pass alongside the following places (not necessarily in this order):
- French Plaza, Spanish Colonial Dungeons, fortifications & walking promenade
- Flat Arch
- The area around the Presidential Palace
- Bolivar Plaza
- Metropolitan Cathedral (Which has been subjected to internal repairs)
- San Jose Church's Golden Altar
Once we finish the walking tour, you may go around the colonial neighborhood or have a nice meal in one of their gastronomical options.

On arrival
We will meet you at the Old Panama ruins visitor center entrance.
Things to note
- WHAT TO BRING: Comfortable footwear and clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses, cap or hat, camera and cash (for souvenirs)
- Once we finish the walking tour, you may go around the colonial neighborhood or have your lunch or dinner in one of their gastronomical options.
- Transportation back to your hotel not included.
