What you will experience:
Navigation in "Piruas": The adventure begins by navigating the river in a traditional boat, surrounded by nature and the serenity of the water. Authentic Flavors: You will enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by the community, using fresh local ingredients and ancestral techniques. Rhythms and Dances: Let yourself be carried away by the sound of flutes, drums and ceremonial dances that tell the history of their people and celebrate life. Stories of the Forest: You will learn first-hand about the history of the Emberá, their knowledge of botanical medicine and the cosmovision that guides their daily life. Village Life: You will walk through the village, visit their homes and admire (or purchase) their famous handicrafts made of natural fibers and cocobolo wood.

Our Guides
On arrival
From Panama City:
1) Take bus T022 from Calle Martin Sosa (direction Chagres).
2) Get off at the "Buenos Aires" bus stop.
3) You ask for a taxi/uber to Puerto Corotú.
To return, do the same route in the opposite direction.
Things to note
The price is pre-sale. The cost is USD 45, payable in cash or Yappy to the indigenous tribe (this is the only way to support the local community). Please provide us with a valid WhatsApp number to coordinate boat transportation.
What to bring.
- Comfortable clothes and shoes that can get wet
- Sunscreen and insect repellent
- Cash (in case you want to buy handicrafts directly from the indigenous community)
