On this 7-hour tour from Nuremberg (5 hours excluding transportation time) a local guide will take you on a one-hour train ride through the Franconian countryside to the romantic town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Upon arrival, we will walk through the historic city center and enjoy its main attractions.
This full-day excursion starts at Nuremberg Central Station, in front of the Deutsche Bahn information booth, and ends at the same place.
Upon arrival in Rothenburg, your guide will lead you on a 2.5-hour orientation tour that will help you locate the main sights of this wonderful town that evokes fairy tales. After this, you will have a few hours to have lunch and wander around at your own pace.
To tour Rothenburg is to have the chance to discover the beauty of an almost original medieval town, as it was little destroyed in World War II. Within its walls, half-timbered houses and cobblestone streets tell stories worth listening to.
