Overview
Let me lead you through New York City’s most picturesque and storied neighborhood: Greenwich Village. With winding tree-lined streets and stately brownstones, it is the artistic heart of Manhattan, boasting nearly 400 years of history.
What we will explore together:
• Cultural Revolutions: Every major movement of the 20th century lived here. We’ll visit the birthplaces of the Beat Generation, the folk-rock scene of the 1960s, and the hidden sites of Prohibition-era speakeasies.
•Civil Rights & Music: See where the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement began at the Stonewall Inn, while discussing the legends of Macdougal Street like Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix.
• Insider Access: I’ll point out the best old-school Italian bakeries, hidden jazz clubs, and legendary bars that only a local knows.
• Architecture & Living: We’ll discuss the unique urban design of the Village and what it’s really like to live in this "glittering global city."
Spend time with a real New Yorker who will give you the real scoop, plenty of historical context, and more than a few laughs along the way.
