Overview
The Village, SoHo, and Chinatown are must-see destinations on any trip to New York!!
While Midtown’s got the plays, museums, and tourist attractions -- the neighborhoods on this tour between 14th Street and Canal Street will show you an authentic glimpse into the everyday life of the modern rush-around, fashionable, artistic, singular gritty, gorgeous chaos.
These are the neighborhoods where culture and counter-culture were born and you can get an eye on a landmark from every era of the city’s history along with some off-the-beaten-path tourism ideas.
We’ll meet up centrally and conveniently at Astor Place on the East side. We’ll walk about two miles in two hours, hitting iconic stops on the way through the West Village and SoHo to Chinatown. Stops include Washington Square, One-Fifth Avenue, a great view of the Empire State Building, The Comedy Cellar, Washington Village, SoHo’s Federal House, Cast Iron landmarks & shopping, and Chinatown’s famous Canal Street threshold, and I won’t let you leave without a list of ideas for food and fun around town! Join me on this jaunt!
