Overview
We are a team of four local guides, namely Dickens,Erick, Zack, and Benta. We were all born, raised and still live in the Kibera community. We have firsthand insights into the authentic daily life in the Kibera neighborhood.
This tour enables our guests to learn more about our local community's way of life and the history of the Kibera slum. The income generated from the booking fees goes back to the community and helps in running a non-profit organisation called KCOOP organisation.
Our organisation operates in Kibera and other rural parts of Kenya, whereby we try to empower communities, and our main programs include:
1. Education program
2. Feeding program
3. Economic empowerment program
4. Arts and sports program
We are now seeking like-minded individuals and partnerships from other organisations to help in empowering our communities.
