Overview
The tour starts by pick up at your Nairobi Hotel or home 8AM. You will then be driven to the Giraffe Centre, where you will learn more about the conservation efforts to conserve an endangered species. Under the supervision of a professional, you can feed the giraffes from a raised observation platform. These platforms allow the visitors to come eye-to-eye with the giraffes.
The second stop is the Elephant Orphaned Trust; it is strictly open between 11 am and 12 noon. Here, you will see rescued baby and teenage elephants and learn their unique stories of how they got there, how they got their names, and what plans are there to release them. As part of the David Sheldrick Conservation Foundation, Daphne Sheldrick rehabilitates baby elephants. These babies have lost their mothers to poaching, death, injuries, getting lost in the wild, or other tragedies.
You will be taken out for lunch (at your own expense) at Bomas of Kenya, Tamambo, or a similar restaurant, then enter the auditorium for cultural dances. The tribal cultural shows happen daily from 2:30 pm to 4 pm and display tribal talent in music, dance, theatre/drama, fashion shows, poetry/recitals, and comedies.
